BRGs Collect Clothing for Disadvantaged

fall 08 clothing drive.JPGTeam Members donated more than 2,800 different items of new and previously-owned clothing and accessories to help disadvantaged men and women last month.

The Men’s and Women’s Business Resource Groups collected the items as a part of the fall clothing drive. The clothing and accessories were donated to LifeSource International, a non-profit family support organization.

“We’re pleased to once again partner with LifeSource to donate clothes to those who need them most,” says Sara Bridges, a senior accountant and member of the Women’s BRG. “We appreciate and support the ongoing efforts of LifeSource to help people overcome some of the financial and other personal challenges they’re facing.”

The Women’s BRG collected clothing for LifeSource in 2007 and again in the spring of 2008. The Men’s BRG joined the effort for this fall’s clothing drive.

LifeSource takes a holistic approach to individual and family services, recognizing the importance of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, as well as economic independence.

Tyson Business Resource Groups are sponsored by the Executive Diversity Business Council, which is chaired by Tyson Foods President and CEO Dick Bond.
