Sedalia Team Member Raises Money for March of Dimes; ‘Bikers for Babies’ is Huge Success in Missouri

robert carrender march dimes.JPGMore than 400 motorcycles filled the swine pavilion at the state fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri, recently to help with a good cause. The Bikers for Babies gathering was held to raise funds for March of Dimes.

The co-chairs for this event were our very own Robert Carrender, an electrician at Sedalia and his girlfriend Mona Sweet. This year the group raised more than $55,000 dollars to support the March of Dimes.

The ride started in Sedalia and three other start points all converging on Columbia, Missouri, where, at the end, more than 800 bikers showed their support for March of Dimes.

Robert says he wanted to help raise money for March of Dimes, because his girlfriend’s nephew was born premature more than 30 years ago, and the March is a good cause to support.

Robert is a member of Full Circle Motorcycle Association (F.C.M.A.), as well as numerous churches, such as Church of the Wind and Brothers of the Sun. Robert divides his other time between charities such as American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Dream factory, and Bikers with a Mission. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Humane Society.
