In 1967, Tyson Fresh Meats perfected an innovation that dramatically changed the fresh meats industry – boxed beef. For the first time in history, instead of beef being shipped to customers in whole carcass form, we began breaking down the carcass into smaller, more manageable portions. These cuts were then vacuum-packed and shipped out in boxes.
