Beef Pot Roast

  • 1 beef round tip roast, 4 lb.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, cracked
  • 1 jar beef gravy, 12 oz.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Combine garlic and pepper; press onto beef roast. Place roast on rack in shallow roasting pan.
  2. Roast beef 2 hours for medium rare (internal temp 140°F) or 2 1/2 hours for medium doneness (internal temp 150°F). Remove from oven; tent with foil. Let stand 20 minutes. (Temperature will continue to rise about 10°F.)
  3. Remove rack from pan; skim fat from pan drippings. Stir gravy, Worcestershire sauce and 1/4 cup water into pan. Cook and stir over medium-low heat 3 to 5 minutes or until bubbly.

Serving Suggestion: Carve roast. Serve with sauce, oven-roasted red potatoes and steamed baby carrots. Refrigerate leftovers.
