Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops

Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 Fresh Boneless Assorted Loin Chops, 3/4-inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1-1/2 cups applesauce
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon red-hot candies


Cooking Instructions

  1. Brush chops lightly with oil.
  2. To prepare applesauce, stir together applesauce and candies in small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring often, until candies are melted; stir well to thoroughly combine. Keep warm.
  3. Preheat nonstick skillet over medium-high. Place chops in skillet and cook, turning to brown evenly, 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle chops with pepper; add broth and lemon juice. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer gently 5 minutes or until done (internal temp 155°F).
  5. To serve, top chops with warm applesauce.
