Cowboy Barbecued Spareribs

Cowboy Barbecued Spareribs

Ingredients

  • 1 package Fresh Spareribs, about 5-lb.
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup dry mustard
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper


Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Place spareribs on broiler pan. Cover with foil and roast 1 1/2 hours.
  2. Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients in medium saucepan; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover; simmer 30 minutes.
  3. Brush sauce on ribs. Broil 5 inches from heat 7 to 10 minutes on each side.

Serving Suggestion: Serve ribs with additional sauce, deli potato salad and BBQ beans. Refrigerate leftovers.
