Pork and Pepperoni Pizza Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Fresh Reduced Fat Ground Pork
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni, chopped; about 2 oz.
  • 1/2 cup Italian-style dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce, prepared
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded; 4 oz.
  • 6 sandwich buns


Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-hot. Stir together ground pork, pepperoni, bread crumbs, pizza sauce and oregano in medium bowl. Shape mixture into 6 patties.
  2. Grill burgers, turning once, about 10 minutes or until done (internal temp 160°F).
  3. Place burgers on buns; top each pattie with cheese.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with potato salad and dill pickle spears. Refrigerate leftovers.

Tip: Use a clean pair of scissors or kitchen shears to cut pepperoni into small pieces.
