Dip-Encrusted Buffalo Wings

This wing recipe bakes the blue cheese dip right into the wing. Every bite gives you spicy buffalo sauce and creamy blue cheese.

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a charcoal grill, heat charcoal until ash in color.
  2. Pour oil into cast-iron skillet and place skillet onto grill grates. Allow oil to heat to 350oF.
  3. Meanwhile, combine flour, starch, and bread crumbs in a mixing bowl. Mix well with whisk.
  4. In a separate bowl, pour blue cheese dressing or ranch-style dressing.
  5. Dredge the wings in the flour mixture, coating well, and then into the dressing. Shake off the excess liquid and return to the flour mixture, coating well. Repeat with remaining wings.
  6. Refrigerate wings on a rack for 15 minutes.
  7. Place 1 or 2 wings in the hot oil and cook for 10 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 180oF.
  8. Once golden and crispy, gently place wings on the hot grill grates. Baste carefully with buffalo sauce.
