Tomato and Bacon Pasta Toss

This is our take on pasta carbonara; start with our thick cut bacon and add linguine, roma tomatoes, parmesan, garlic and basil.

Cooking Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in large deep pot according to package directions; drain. Keep warm.
  2. Cook bacon in large skillet over medium heat, until browned. Remove from heat and drain on paper towel. Reserve 3 tablespoons drippings in pan; discard remainder.
  3. Add garlic to drippings in skillet and cook over medium heat about 30 seconds. Do not brown.
  4. Combine crumbled bacon, garlic mixture, tomatoes, and pepper with the hot cooked pasta.  Toss to mix.  Add Parmesan cheese and basil; toss and heat thoroughly over medium heat.
