Mango Serrano BBQ Grilled Drumsticks

You can't go wrong with classic BBQ with a sweet and spicy twist. Make a BBQ sauce from grilled mango and serrano peppers and slather on grilled drumsticks.

  • 1 cup prepared BBQ sauce
  • 1 mango, peeled and pitted
  • 2 serrano peppers, seeded

Cooking Instructions

  1. Spray or oil your outdoor grill with cooking oil and preheat over high heat (450-500 degrees F).
  2. Place the mango and peppers on the grill and char for 7-10 minutes. Lower the grill temperature to a low heat. Place the frozen drumsticks on grill and cook for 40-45 minutes flipping often until the internal temperature reaches 180 degrees F. Season with salt and pepper during the cooking process.
  3. While cooking the chicken, combine the charred mango and peppers with the BBQ sauce in a blender and pulse until well incorporated. Brush onto chicken during the last 10 minutes of the cooking process.
