Ingredients

  • 1 pound

  • 1 can tomatoes, 8-oz., cut up

  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 8 taco shells

  • 2 cup lettuce, shredded

  • 2 tomatoes, cut in wedges

  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Cooking Instructions

  • Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high. Add ground pork and break up into small crumbles. Cook 8 to 10 minutes or until pork is no longer pink.
  • Stir in undrained canned tomatoes, onion, chili powder and garlic powder. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncover and stir occasionally, until most of the liquid evaporates, about 15 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Heat taco shells according to package directions.
  • Divide taco meat among shells; top with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese.
